I let out a sigh as I stood up out of bed. I had to get these feelings out to him, and I had to do it NOW. I didn't care what the consequences might be, he needed to know so I'd be sane once more. He might never speak to me again, but he would know how I feel about him. And that was good enogh for me. Then again, he might become my boyfriend. But I was willing to take the risk of him never wanting to even hear my name again so that he would know that I love him.
I grabbed my keys and stuffed them in my back pocket. I stepped outside my room and closed the door behind me. I walked down the hall until I reached my destination. I knocked on the door and after tow minutes, Zac answered looking a little sleepy. He seemed to wake up when he saw that it was me.
"Oh, um, hi Lindsay!" he greeted, smiling slightly. I couldn't help but notice the nervousness in his voice.
"Hi Zac," I replied, smiling back slightly.
"Um, c'mon in," he invited.
"Thank you," I replied softly as I walked in. He shut the door behind me. I looked up and gazed at his face.
"So, what's up?" he asked, slightly shakily.
"Zac, I need to tell you something. If I don't say it right now I'll regret it for the rest of my life." I informed.
"Okay, shoot." he returned.
I looked right into his eyes and claimed from my heart, "I love you. I have since I layed my eyes on you. I've never felt like this about anyone, and I'd give anything just to look into your eyes. Whenever I'm around you I'm so happy that I'm not aware of my problems at all. You probably don't feel the same way, and you're more than likely never going to give me a short glance ever again. But I'm willing to take that risk, just so you know that I love you with all my heart and soul, and I always will."
He gave me a suprised look.
"You, you, you, you do?" he asked, his face red as a beet.
"Yes Zac, I do." I answered sincerly.
"Um, I, I, um, I, I, I, I, I, uh, er, I," he stuttred.
I sighed and said, "Yeah, I know. You're sorry but you just wanna be friends. I can handle that so you don't have to worry about me hitting you. Bye,"
I turned and walked to the door. Zac grabbed my arm and I turned around, he looked like he was goint to burst out in tears.
"NO! I LOVE YOU TOO! PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME!" he begged. I was shocked.
"You do?!" I nearly yelled with happiness.
"YES! I DO! I LOVE YOU!" he exclaimed.
I let out a sob and quickly found myself wrapped in his arms. I cried for joy on his shoulder and he carressed my back, calming me down. We stayed like that, cuddling, for what seemed like a wonderful lifetime. I finally looked up at him, and returned the gaze by string into my seductively. Our heads came closer to each other, until our lips finally touched, expressing all the passion that was heating up at that moment. My heart raced as I experienced every one of my dreams coming true. If heaven can be a thing on this Earth, it's beening in Zac's loving arms. The way he held me so close to his warm body expressed that he cared for me, respected me, loved me. I tried my very best at giving him that feeling in return. I wanted this to latst forever. And in my heart, it would.
I was in heaven. Pure and simple bliss. I think that now I understood the reasoning behind all the mushy movies and heartbeaking poetry. I realised what Lindsay wanted. I finally understood why young people were so ready to tie themselves down without living their lives to the fullest. Not to say that I would. Surely not. I had to much respect for myself for that.
I stepped back and pulled Taylor by the hand to my room, now empty. I guess Lindsay had gone over to Zac's. I sat down on the bed and searched through my backpack. Finally I found what I was looking for.
I beckoned Taylor to come sit beside me and he did. I took out my henna kit and wrote my name and his in a circle on his arm. Not a heart. Hearts break. A circle is forever. It was far from a tattoo. It would only last 2 weeks. And then we would re-do them. I did some other tiny doodles just cuz I was crazy and then I handed him the pen and rolled up my sleeve. I could feel the cool tip of the pen and the moistness of the temporary ink as he placed a meaningful pattern on my arm. Soon there were doodles on there too.
I smiled at him and we both got up to look at what we had put on each others arms.
His was a circle with our names inscribed and a vine wrapping delicately around the circle rim. Mine was our names in a circle with two doves holding a piece of vine above it.
I smiled and kissed him quickly before walking over to the TV and flipping channels.
I rested my chin in my elbows and layed down, belly down. Taylor came and sat on my back. I tried to reach behind me and smack him but it didn't work. Soon he started tickling me.
"AAHHH!" I screamed as I tried to smack him. Finally I got smart and rolled to my right.
I fell to the left and I quickly sat on him and started tickling him back. He laughed until he was crying as he tried to stop me. Finally I stopped and got up.
"Cheater!" He accused playfully.
I stuck out my tongue at him before looking back at the TV. Taylor rested his chin on the top of my head and soon we had both fallen asleep like that. My last thought was wondering where the hell Lindsay was.
